Generic test prep teaches the test. We teach your student. A learning scientist and an International Math Olympiad coach build every plan around how your specific student's brain actually works. Whether they're aiming for Yale or the state school of their choice, the approach is the same.
Book a Free Strategy CallMost test prep companies assign your student to whomever is available. You get a recent college grad reading from a script. Your student gets the same generic strategies that every other student gets. And you wonder why the score barely moves.
We do something different. When you work with us, your student sits across from Kevin J. Roberts or Henry Dan. Not an assistant. Not a trainee. One of us. Every session.
Kevin is a learning scientist who doesn't teach to the test. He teaches your student how their brain works, then builds a strategy around it. Henry brings International Math Olympiad-level mathematical thinking to every session. Between us, we are fluent in multiple languages and cover every section of both tests at an expert level.
There is no area of the ACT or SAT that we cannot break down, rebuild, and make your student own.
Other tutors teach content. We teach your student how to think.
Kevin's approach is built on how the brain actually acquires and retains information. Every session targets your student's specific cognitive strengths and gaps. No two students get the same plan.
We don't start with practice tests and hope for the best. We diagnose exactly where your student is losing points, why they're losing them, and what it takes to fix it. Then we go to work.
Because we work at the level of how your student thinks, not just what they know, breakthroughs happen faster. Students who have plateaued with other programs often see movement in the first few sessions.
ADHD. Dyslexia. Anxiety. Perfectionism. A student who knows the material but freezes on test day. We have seen it all, and we know how to work with it. Your student is not a number here.
Not assistants. Not trainees. The principals. Every session.
Kevin has spent two decades working directly with students, and his track record speaks for itself. His students have been accepted to dozens of programs across the academic spectrum, including Yale, Michigan State, UPenn, Oakland University, Michigan Ross, Grand Valley, Wayne State, Miami University (Ohio), University of Miami, and CU Boulder. He specializes in unlocking potential in students who learn differently, who test anxiously, or who have been told they just need to "try harder." He is the author of Movers, Dreamers, and Risk-Takers, Schindler's Gift, and four other books on learning and student development.
Henry competed on Cambodia's International Math Olympiad team for two years and then coached the national team. His undergraduate degree is in Data Science with a concentration in machine learning. He brings an extraordinary depth of mathematical thinking that transforms how students approach quantitative reasoning. Henry is also one of the most patient and compassionate teachers you will ever meet. Students who "hate math" come away from sessions with him saying they finally get it.

This is what separates us from every tutoring center in the country.
This is one of the most common calls we get. A plateau usually means the approach isn't matching how your student learns. We start fresh with a full diagnostic and build a plan based on what's actually happening, not what a program assumes is happening.
This is one of our core strengths. Kevin is the author of multiple books on ADHD and learning differences. We don't just accommodate these students. We build strategies specifically designed for how their brains work.
Most students see measurable improvement within the first 3 to 4 sessions. The weeklong intensive is designed to produce a significant jump in a single week. Every student is different, but our diagnostic-first approach means we're targeting the highest-impact areas from day one.
We cover both tests. During the initial strategy call, we help you determine which test is the better fit for your student, and we build the intensive around that.
Yes. One-on-one sessions are available both in-person (Michigan) and virtually. The weeklong intensive will be offered in-person and virtual.
Because you are not getting a tutoring center. You are getting direct, private access to two of the most qualified test prep instructors available anywhere. Every session is taught by Kevin or Henry. There is no substitute teacher, no B-team. That level of expertise and attention commands a premium, and the results justify it.
Book a free 30-minute strategy call. We'll talk about your student, their goals, and whether we are the right fit. No pressure. No sales pitch. Just an honest conversation about what it will take.
